How to Set Up Your KhaveCore Box™
Step 1 – Build Your Foundation
Add KhaveDirt™ to your enclosure, spreading it evenly to create a natural substrate layer. Adjust the depth based on your enclosure and animal's requirements.
Step 2 – Add Your Botanicals
Spread KhaveLeaf™ across the substrate to create a natural forest-floor environment.
Step 3 – Create Humid Areas
Place your Canopy Cushion™ or Swamp Gold™ in the desired moisture-retaining areas. Add your Live Cushion Moss where it can receive appropriate moisture and lighting.
Step 4 – Add Natural Hides
Position your cork bark or cypress wood to create shelter, surface structure, and hiding spaces.
Step 5 – Introduce Your Cleanup Crew
Once environmental conditions are appropriate, introduce your springtails and Dwarf White isopods. Allow them time to establish within the enclosure.
Step 6 – Feed Your Colony
Lightly sprinkle Pod Fuel™ in a designated feeding area to provide supplemental nutrition for your isopods.
Step 7 – Let Your Ecosystem Establish
Maintain proper moisture, ventilation, and environmental conditions. Allow your cleanup crew to establish before introducing animals that may prey on them.
